about

„There is no such thing as a road map. Without firm plans or arrangements we enter the stage. So we play each piece only once in life. We just never find time to rehearse.“ (Stefan Krachten)

Re-issue of the 2015 album

g o l dman live at the Blue Shell

In summer 2014 the band recorded two concerts at the legendary live club in Cologne „Blue Shell“. Our plan was to produce a live album with some excerpts from those gigs. That did not happen until today, as our drummer and dear friend Stefan Krachten, passed away in September of the same year.
Stefan was the g o l dman founder, bandleader and mastermind. Dedicated to his memory these last official recordings are now ready to be presented to the public, a limited vinyl edition containing 45 minutes of essentials chosen from the footage, painstakingly edited and finally mixed. No overdubs were added in the studio. We decided to make this release a privately organized charity campaign to the benefit of the Elisabeth Hospice in Lohmar, Stefan’s home during his last weeks on earth. All revenues from this album shall go to their future projects.
We are absolutely sure that this will be the very best Stefan’s last album can achieve.

about

Thomas Kessler Düsseldorf, Germany

Thomas Kessler's solo piano pieces are largely inspired by the works of early 20th century impressionists such as Debussy and Satie, translating their atmospheric images into a contemporary form of intuitively composed music.

He has collaborated with artists from all continents and fellow musicians from bands such as Dissidenten, King Crimson, Can, and Kraftwerk.
